81% of first-time donors never give again — most were never really thanked. Because of You turns your website and photos into a personal, cinematic thank-you for every donor. Live in about twenty minutes. No designer. No cut of donations.
So the budget goes to acquisition — the appeals, the ads, the events. And the moment someone finally gives, the relationship is handed to an auto-receipt.
There’s a better way — and you can feel it with your own brand, right now ↓
Paste your nonprofit’s website. We read your public pages — colors, logo, photos, mission — and build a working experience for a sample donor, live, in under 30 seconds. It’s a first draft you can edit down to the last word. No signup, no card, no call.
A demonstration. On the left, what most donors get today: a plain receipt email. “Dear Supporter, thank you for your donation of $250.00. This email serves as your official receipt for tax purposes. No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution.” No name, no story, no photograph — nothing that tells the donor their gift mattered.
The same gift, rebuilt as an experience, unfolds in four acts in the nonprofit’s own brand. Arrival: “Sarah — because of you, a burnt ridge is turning green again.” The story: a field ecologist’s own words — “For two years this ridge was quiet. Now there’s birdsong at dawn again.” Your impact: what her $250 did — 4,200 native trees planted, 37 hectares of bush rewilded, 19 species returning, and where her gift sits among Everwild’s donors. Thank you: “Thank you, Sarah” — signed by the field team, with an invitation to give again or share it.
Same gift. Same email address. A different feeling entirely — their brand, their story, their donor’s name.

I spent 13½ years inside Edgar’s Mission, an animal sanctuary — its first paid staff member, building everything from scratch. I watched people give something that genuinely mattered to them, and I watched us send back a tax receipt. Because of You is the thank-you I always wished we could send.

The second gift is the whole game — decided in the days right after the first. And 13% of donors who quit say they were never thanked at all.

The organizations that keep their donors aren’t luckier. They answer generosity with feeling — fast.
Straight up: these are sector-wide research findings, not a promise about your results. The 48-hour studies are about prompt, personal thanks — we exist to make prompt, personal thanks possible at your scale. Sources below.
We pull your brand, logo, photos and mission automatically — you just watched it happen.
Edit the draft, upload an impact report (PDF or image), or write your own. Your voice, your facts.
Nine templates, from a handwritten letter to a scrolling film — every one included, one launch each.
One shared link, personalized links for your email tool, or a page per donor from a CSV.
Every template tells your donor’s true story in a different voice. Five favorites — tap any to scroll a live sample.
Your plan keeps your experiences running — hosting, evergreen pages, editing, analytics. Each plan includes launches: one launch publishes one experience, any template, covering every donor in it. Editing never costs a thing. And your first experience is free for 30 days from the moment you publish — no card.
Every template, on every plan. Need more campaigns? one for $20, five for $75, twenty for $250 — they never expire.
All prices in US dollars (US$).
Keep one $250 donor who would have lapsed, and a $99 year of gratitude paid for itself twice over — before counting the years of gifts that follow.
Your pages are yours. Cancel any time and every published experience stays live for your donors through your paid period, then a 90-day grace period after that. Nothing is ever auto-deleted and your content stays recoverable for at least a year. Your donors will never hit a dead link because of us.

Nothing breaks for your donors. Every published experience stays live through the period you paid for, then a 90-day grace period where pages keep working and only editing locks. Nothing is auto-deleted and your content stays recoverable for at least a year. That’s the Keep-It Promise above, and it’s the policy we run — not a marketing line.
No. They tap a link and it opens — phone, tablet or laptop. No login, no download, nothing to install, no cookie wall. If they can open an email, they can open this.
You don’t migrate anything. Because of You gives you a link — paste it into Mailchimp, your CRM’s email builder, your receipt template, a text message, a social post. For a page per donor, either upload a CSV or drop your email tool’s own merge fields into one personalized link (first name, gift amount, gift date).
On Growth and Scale you can also wire it up directly: your donation platform tells us a gift happened — through Zapier, a webhook, or a few lines of code — and we hand back that donor’s link, ready to drop into the receipt you already send. It goes one way, and it ends with a link. We never email your donors, we don’t read your database, and nothing moves out of the system you keep your records in.
Donor details are used for one thing: rendering that donor’s page. Every link is long and unguessable (22 random characters), marked no-index so search engines don’t list it, and the visible page never shows a donor’s email address. We don’t sell donor data and we don’t use it for advertising — ever. The detail, including where data is stored and how to have it deleted, is in our privacy policy.
Never — and we couldn’t if we wanted to. We don’t process payments at all. Your “give again” button is simply a link to your own donation page, exactly as you set it up. You pay a flat plan; 100% of every gift goes where it always did.
If you can paste a web address, you’ve already done the hard part — you watched it happen further up this page. Most of the twenty minutes is you choosing photos and editing words we drafted from your own site. There’s nothing to install, no code, and no designer. And it’s free until you publish, so you can find out before you decide anything.
One quiet line at the foot of the experience — Made as an experience with Because of You — linking back here. The page itself is entirely yours: your logo, your colors, your photos, your voice. The mark is how one nonprofit’s thank-you becomes another nonprofit’s discovery, which is a large part of why this can stay affordable for small teams.
Something we didn’t answer? Email us — it comes to a person, usually Kyle.

Sector figures: Fundraising Effectiveness Project quarterly reports (AFP × GivingTuesday, 2024–25) — 19.4% first-time donor retention, ~43% overall, 69.2% for repeat donors. Reasons donors lapse and the retention→lifetime-value effect: Dr. Adrian Sargeant’s donor-retention research. 48-hour thank-you studies: Penelope Burk, Donor-Centered Fundraising (Cygnus). Acquisition costing ~5× retention is the sector’s long-standing benchmark. Research on the sector, not a guarantee of your results.
